This is a hand poured small batch beeswax candle inspired by the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary. This candle, inspired by third mystery- The Proclamation of the Kingdom, is scented with a thoughtful custom blend of fragrance notes including Lavender, White Sage, Cedar, and Sandalwood.

Inspiration behind the scent :

After John had been arrested, Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God: “This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:14-15)

Lavender is a symbol of purity and grace, and the color purple symbolizes royalty in relation to the "Kingdom of God." Traditionally, lavender is a soothing scent in which the oil extracted from the plant helps with focus and calmness, especially during times of prayer. White Sage beautifully compliments the calming scent of lavender.

The Galilean hills, where Jesus returned, are considered to have been heavily forested in early times with an abundance of trees, amongst them is the cedar tree. Sandalwood is often called "aloes" in the bible, and symbolizes joy and happiness.

All materials and fragrances I use are 100% clean, non-toxic, and centered around the Catholic faith.

Your candle is made with :

  • Beeswax sourced from reputable beekeepers located in the Midwest.
  • A small amount of Organic Coconut Oil added to assist with scent throw and even burn.
  • Clean Phthalate-Free Fragrance Oils
  • 100% Cotton Wick I personally primed with beeswax.

No dyes, or extra additives were used in making this candle.

This candle is currently available in :
4 oz hexagon glass jar - approximate 20-25 hours burn time
6 oz hexagon glass jar - approximate 30-35 hours burn time

Jar dimensions :
4oz - 2.75" W x 2.5" H
6oz - 2.75" W x 3.5" H

Did you know beeswax candles have been used exclusively in the Catholic Church for centuries? According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, “The pure wax extracted by bees from flowers symbolizes the pure flesh of Christ received from His Virgin Mother, the wick signifies the soul of Christ, and the flame represents His divinity.”

Please note : The pictured "Proclamation of the Kingdom" Rosary art card is only a prop and not included with your candle. A full set of Rosary art cards can be found at the Little Liturgy Press shop, found here : https://www.etsy.com/shop/LittleLiturgyPress.

Candle Care Instructions :

  • Never leave burning candle unattended.
  • Allow the first burn to form a complete melt pool before extinguishing.
  • Trim wick 1/4” to 1/8” short each time before lighting.
  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects such as curtains.
  • Do not burn longer than 3-4 hours at a time.
  • Extinguish the flame with a snuffer or by dipping the wick into the wax pool with a metal object- this will eliminate the chance of soot build-up and smoke.
