Passion of Jesus Rosary Candle

This is a hand poured small batch beeswax candle inspired by the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary.

This candle, inspired by the suffering and Passion of our Lord, is scented with a thoughtful custom blend of fragrance notes including Blackberry, Anise, Smoke, and Myrrh.

Inspiration behind the scent :

As you’re praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary, allow the fragrance notes of blackberry be a gentle reminder of the 3rd Sorrowful Mystery, The Crowning with Thorns. Blackberries, also known as "bramble berries" are characteristically grown on bushes covered with thorns. Additionally, the deep red-purple color of this fruit allows us to reflect on the robe Jesus was clothed with, as well as the liturgical color of the penitential season of Lent. “And they clothe him with purple, and platting a crown of thorns, they put it upon him. And they began to salute him: Hail, king of the Jews.” - Mark 15:17-18

The spices of myrrh and anise enhance the blackberry scent in a complex way, while also playing a significant role during and after Jesus’ Crucifixion : “And they bring him into the place called Golgotha, which being interpreted is, The place of Calvary. And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh; but he took it not.” - Mark 15:22-23

“And Nicodemus also came, (he who at the first came to Jesus by night,) bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. They took therefore the body of Jesus, and bound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. - John 16-39-40

All materials and fragrances I use are 100% clean, non-toxic, and centered around the Catholic faith.

Your candle is made with :

• Beeswax sourced from reputable beekeepers located in the Midwest.
• A small amount of Organic Coconut Oil added to assist with scent throw and burn. 
• Clean Phthalate-Free Fragrance Oils
• 100% Cotton Wick I personally primed with beeswax to ensure a proper burn.

No dyes, or extra additives were used in making this candle.

The Passion beeswax candle is currently available in :

• 4 oz hexagon glass jar - 20-25 hours burn time
• 6 oz hexagon glass jar - 30-35 hours burn time

Candle Care Instructions :

• Never leave burning candle unattended.
• Allow the first burn to form a complete melt pool before extinguishing.
• Trim wick 1/4” to 1/8” short each time before lighting.
• Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects such as curtains.
• Do not burn longer than 3-4 hours at a time.
• Extinguish the flame with a snuffer or by dipping the wick into the wax pool with a metal object- this will eliminate the chance of soot build-up and smoke.
