This is a hand poured small batch beeswax candle inspired by the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. This candle, inspired by the third Glorious Mystery, The Descent of the Holy Spirit, is scented with a thoughtful custom blend of fragrance notes including Vanilla, Patchouli, Smoky Wood and Clove.
Inspiration behind the scent : "When the day of Pentecost came, it found them gathered in one place. Suddenly from up in the sky there came a noise like a strong, driving wind which was heard all through the house where they were seated. Tongues as of fire appeared, which parted and came to rest on each of them. All were filled with the Holy Spirit. They began to express themselves in foreign tongues and make bold proclamations as the Spirit prompted them." (Acts 2:1-4)
The Descent of the Holy Spirit is also known as the feast of Pentecost when we celebrate the "birth of the Church." Each year, Pentecost is celebrated on the 50th day, or seventh Sunday after Easter.
All materials and scents I use are 100% clean, non-toxic, and centered around the Catholic faith.
Your candle is made with :
- Beeswax sourced directly from reputable beekeepers located in the Midwest.
- A small amount of Organic Coconut Oil added to assist with scent throw and burn.
- Clean Phthalate-Free Fragrance Oils

Each candle comes with a gold tone mini Miraculous Medal charm- when your candle is finished burning you may add this charm to a necklace chain, keychain, bracelet, or whatever your heart desires.

Did you know beeswax candles have been used exclusively in the Catholic Church for centuries? According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, “The pure wax extracted by bees from flowers symbolizes the pure flesh of Christ received from His Virgin Mother, the wick signifies the soul of Christ, and the flame represents His divinity.”
Please note : The pictured "Descent of the Holy Spirit" Rosary art card is only a prop and not included with your candle. A full set of Rosary art cards can be found at the Little Liturgy Press shop, found here : https://www.etsy.com/shop/LittleLiturgyPress.
Candle Care Instructions :
- Never leave burning candle unattended.
- Allow the first burn to form a complete melt pool before extinguishing.
- Trim wick 1/4” to 1/8” short each time before lighting.
- Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects such as curtains.
- Do not burn longer than 3-4 hours at a time.
- Extinguish the flame with a snuffer or by dipping the wick into the wax pool with a metal object- this will eliminate the chance of soot build-up and smoke.
