Small batch beeswax candle inspired by The Assumption of Mary. Scented with a thoughtful custom blend of fragrance notes including Rose Petals, Lemon Blossom, Palm Leaves, and Musk.

Inspiration behind the scent :

When you read about The Assumption, there are many mentions of the floral sweet smell which emerged from her tomb after she was “taken up” to heaven. Roses are often seen in famous works of art depicting The Assumption of Mary, so it made sense to have the heavenly scent of roses be the forefront in this custom blend.

All materials and scents I use are 100% clean, non-toxic, and centered around the Catholic faith.

Your candle is made with :

  • Beeswax sourced from reputable beekeepers located in the Midwest.
  • A small amount of Organic Coconut Oil added to assist with scent throw and burn.
  • Clean Phthalate-Free Fragrance Oils
  • 100% Cotton Wick I personally primed with beeswax to ensure a proper burn.

Each candle comes with a gold tone mini Miraculous Medal charm- when your candle is finished burning you may add this charm to a necklace chain, keychain, bracelet, or whatever your heart desires.

The Assumption of Mary beeswax candle is currently available in :

  • 4 oz hexagon glass jar - 20-25 hours burn time
  • 6 oz hexagon glass jar - 30-35 hours burn time

Jar dimensions :

  • 4oz - 2.75" W x 2.5" H
  • 6oz - 2.75" W x 3.5" H

No dyes, or extra additives were used in making this candle.

Did you know beeswax candles have been used exclusively in the Catholic Church for centuries? According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, “The pure wax extracted by bees from flowers symbolizes the pure flesh of Christ received from His Virgin Mother, the wick signifies the soul of Christ, and the flame represents His divinity.”

Candle Care Instructions :

  • Never leave burning candle unattended.
  • Allow the first burn to form a complete melt pool before extinguishing.
  • Trim wick 1/4” to 1/8” short each time before lighting.
  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects such as curtains.
  • Do not burn longer than 3-4 hours at a time.
  • Extinguish the flame with a snuffer or by dipping the wick into the wax pool with a metal object- this will eliminate the chance of soot build-up and smoke.
